Care Assistant

Job Description:

Personal Care

– Assistance with body or hair washing

– Assistance with getting up from or retiring to bed

– Assistance with dressing

– Assistance with the use of toilet facilities

– Assistance with feeding & drinking.

– Night sitting or respite for carers.

– Assistance with education (under guidance)

– Fitting of callipers, artificial limbs etc.

Practical Support

- Cleaning of homes

- Laundry of clothing & bedding

- Shopping

- Preparation of meals in home

- Collection of prescriptions, pensions etc.

- Practical support & information to help with independent living, eg. Letter writing, telephoning, escorting to medical appointments or shops.

- Fire lighting

Experience:
Experience is not essential as we operate a fully comprehensive in-house training programme as well as online training.

£12.60 - weekday

£12.85 - weekends

Care Coordinator - Vacancy no longer available 

Job Description: This job is no longer available (please do not apply).

  • To assist in the day-to-day operation of the Home Care Service business, involving direct line management for a team of Home Care Workers. This includes the management of their weekly workload ensuring all calls and working patterns are coordinated to the needs of the company, customer and care workers. Also making sure that services are delivered in line with their purchase order/private contract and that staff receive regular quarterly supervision.
  • To participate as required in the multi-disciplinary assessment of Service User needs and the subsequent planning of Service User Care and including the use of the People Planner rostering system.
  • Undertake client care reviews on a continuous basis and adhere to CQC guidelines.
  • Completion and distribution of the care worker rotas are completed on a weekly basis to all appropriate parties. I.e. you will need to make sure that rota’s are available for collection or distributed accordingly.
  • Audit all care records such as financial transactions, daily logs and medication records
  • Provide dedication, leadership and motivation to your team and work colleagues and ensuring respectful relationships are maintained.
  • To participate in Staff, Team and Quality Management Review Meetings as directed by the Registered Manager.
  • To ensure that on call duties are in place as required by the Orchard Homecare Services Ltd to ensure a 24/7 service is provided.
  • Experience:
    -Experience in a Care/Senior Care Assistant role- Leadership role- On call - Use of a care rostering system (People Planner)
  • Transport:

    Own vehicle/transport. (Vehicle must be adequately insured and  insurance policy covers business usage).

    Salary:
    £25,000 - £27,500

    Hours:
    Full time (Mon - Thurs 08.30am - 5pm) (Fri - 08.30am - 4.30pm)

    On call duties on a rota basis (paid separately)

£12.85 - weekday

£13.10 - weekends

Enhanced payment - Bank Holidays

On call enhancement (rota basis) - paid daily and over weekends
