What your care worker will do:
- Arrive at the pre-arranged time on each visit
- Wear an identification badge at all times
- Provide you with the contracted hours as stated in your care plan
- Carry various equipment to assist with health & safety in your home
- Assist with your medication ONLY when authorised by the Manager
- Require your signature on completion of visits
- Require you to sign a cash booklet if your money is handled
- Return receipts for shopping to you
What your care worker will NOT be able to do:
- Carry out any duties other than those contracted for
- Smoke or consume alcohol in your home
- Enter your home in your absence
- Receive cash gifts, gratuities or bequests from you or your family and friends under any circumstances
- Take cash or valuables belonging to you to his/her home for safekeeping
- Be a signatory to a will or sign legal documents on your behalf
- Carry out nursing duties e.g. Injections, sterile dressings, administration of controlled drugs etc
- Borrow money from you or your family
- Sell or dispose of any goods which belong to you or your family
- Sell goods to you
- Take any unauthorised persons into your home e.g. children
- Withdraw money from your bank account using your pin number
